I'm going to be a guest on David Furst's Metro Connection radio show on WAMU. It's in connection with my work on Ed O'Connell's excellent album "Our Little Secret." The lateness of the hour (and the shortness of my pants) means I won't go into detail just now, but here's what you need to know in the near term.
I played guitar and sang a bit on an album of very catchy songs. I played so many overdubs and layered guitar parts I felt like I was back at the "Soul Parking" sessions in the early 90's. Other great playing by Scott McKnight and others, and I hope the others will forgive me skimping on detail because they all played great.
Four of us from the album, Ed, Scott, excellent drummer Jon Babu and I, did an interview on the show and played a few live-in-the-studio songs by Ed.
according to Ed, "David's show, Metro Connection, runs on WAMU 88.5 on Friday afternoon from 1 pm to 2 pm; it's rerun on Saturday morning from 7 am to 8 am (which David said actually gets a lot of listeners). Show archives can be found here, at least for a little while:
