KARL STRAUB COMBO, MOCKINGBIRD, STAUNTON, VA, SAT SEPT 25, 2010

The KARL STRAUB COMBO will play Staunton, Va, this Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010.
It's a rare out-of-town gig for Straub, plus it's two sets! Always a bonus. I haven't checked my map yet, but how far away could Staunton be? Half hour? If you're up for a very brief road trip, I'm sure Staunton would be happy to have you for a few hours. Think of it as the last summer blowout this year. I assume Mockingbird has beer and whatnot. Here, I'll sweeten the deal-- anyone from the DC area that stumbles into this gig gets a "shout-out" from the stage. Perhaps even a song dedicated to them, if they are dancing. Man, what a deal-- I wish I was in the audience!
Another bonus, if you still need convincing-- this will be the first non-solo gig where I'll have the new Lo-Fi Loop Junky. This pedal made a real splash at the recent solo show-- now it's graduated to the ensemble gigs. Don't miss.

(please note-- I have received several emails, some of which had a pretty aggressive tone, questioning my speculation that Staunton is about a half an hour from here. One person went on at some length, actually. I encourage anyone who doubts me to look it up. After that, if you don't accept it, I can't help you.)
